Since you might have to wait a few days for your package to be delivered, here are 5 Quick Tips you can use to help you prepare and be ready to start using your oils right away.
1) Join a private Facebook group all about essential oils and ways to use them.
If you don’t know of a Facebook group or Oil Education group, ask your enroller if they can set you up! If you decide to enroll with me, I will get you access to our private Facebook group, Apothecary Society. This is an amazing group of people dedicated to sharing, helping and educating about the many uses of oils! I have found this Facebook group to be crazy helpful. Whether I’m trying to find an oil for skin tags or a recipe for diaper rash, private Facebook Groups are a fabulous resource for learning more about how to incorporate oils into your life. If you enrolled with me and would like me to add you to the group, please contact me here and let me know that you would like to join Apothecary Society.
2) Get an EO Journal
I didn’t do this right away when I first started, and I regret it! After a while, I realized I had so many cool EO recipes that I was adapting and tweaking and I wasn’t writing them down! Unfortunately, when I would go to recreate the recipe that I loved…I didn’t have it anymore! Did I use Purification Oil or Tea Tree Oil?? I don’t remember!! Now I write down every recipe and blend I try. I keep notes about whether I liked it or not. Now it is easy for me to recreate my faves!
3) Start an EO Board on Pinterest
Pinterest is magical and it has so many helpful ideas and suggestions. Or you can be like me and start a board for specifics (Natural Beauty Products DIY, Natural Home Remedies, Green Cleaning DIY). You could even create a board for each oil! Your mind will probably be a little overwhelmed since the uses and possibilities for weaving Essential Oils into your life are infinite (so keep your journal handy and jot down your ideas). 4) Learn about Oil Safety and Cautions
Essential oils are little drops of goodness, however, they should be respected and used appropriately. Be sure to carefully read on the Young Living website how each oil should be properly used. For instance, not all oils should be ingested and others need to be diluted before applying topically. Be sure to always follow the suggested guidelines for oil dilution (especially when using on small children). It is important to familiarize yourself with some of the ways to safely use oils before getting started. Take these few days to learn a bit about oil safety. Click HERE for Young Living Safety Tips.
5) Download my 25 Day Oil challenge
I hope you’re as excited to get started as I was! Don’t be afraid to try your oils and explore the many health, wellness, and beauty benefits they offer. Please let me know if you have any questions!
