One of my biggest reasons for turning to essential oils was to be able to reduce the amount of chemicals and toxins I put on and in my body each day. I was horrified ? to learn how many chemicals were in my everyday skin care products! It’s shockingly scary.
Using high quality essential oils gives me peace of mind that I am treating my body and skin to only pure, natural, & safe ingredients.
?Dry skin support?
How many of you occasionally suffer from dry, itchy skin ?? Unfortunately, during the winter and early spring, dry skin can be a big challenge. ?
When seasonal dry skin starts driving me crazy ?, I like to create a mixture of coconut oil with lavender and cedarwood. Both these essential oils are gentle and nourishing for skin support and coconut oil is exceptionally hydrating.
Depending on your dry skin severity, here are a few other oils that support dry skin (try adding them to this blend to find a mixture that works best with your skin):
– Roman Camomile
– Gentle Baby*
*both of these are sun sensitive oils, so wait at least 8 hours after application for sun exposure
My favorite Dry Skin Support recipe
2 TBSP coconut oil
3 drops lavender oil
3 drops cedarwood oil
Rub on dry skin to hydrate and nourish.
Coconut oil can be a little oily, so be sure it is fully absorbed before putting on clothing.
