My hair can get really damaged from highlighting, blow drying, curling iron, flat iron and just being in the sun! ☀️ A natural moisturizing hair mask can restore necessary hydration.
It often needs to have moisture restored when it gets overly dry and brittle. I created this blend to use on my hair once every couple weeks to soften and moisturize my dry, damaged hair. It’s easy to whip-up and sits on my hair for about 20 – 30 minutes (just enough time to catch up on emails – or let’s be honest… Instagram).
The recipe uses:
Coconut oil – full of antioxidants and it can add volume, shine, and moisture
Olive Oil – rich, moisturizing properties
Shea Butter – extraordinary moisturizing properties
Ylang Ylang – supports brittle hair
Cedarwood – helps add shine and life to dull hair
Naturally Moisturizing Hai Mask Recipe:
¼ Cup coconut oil
1 TBSP olive oil
1 TBSP Shea Butter
4 Drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
4 Drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
Mix first 3 ingredients, put in microwave for 10 seconds (to soften) and then add essential oils. Massage into dry, dirty hair. Be sure to massage all over hair from ends to scalp. Leave in hair for 15 to 30 minutes. Wash and style as usual.
✨You may need to wash hair with shampoo 2 times to be sure you get all the oil out.
Hair should be soft and smooth!
